Jenna Katzman, NP
My passion for health started long before I became a nurse practitioner.
I've been fascinated by nutrition and wellness for as long as I can remember. I became a vegetarian at 10 years old, and at 11, I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes—a life-changing experience that gave me a firsthand understanding of what it's like to live with a chronic condition. It also sparked an even deeper curiosity about how the body works and what truly helps people feel their best.
As I navigated my own health journey, I realized I wanted to do for others what so many compassionate healthcare providers had done for me: listen, educate, and help people take control of their health. That calling led me to nursing and eventually to being a nurse practitioner.
One of the things my patients tell me they appreciate most is that they finally feel heard.
I believe that healing starts with listening. My goal is to create a partnership where you feel comfortable sharing your story, asking questions, and working together to uncover the root causes of your symptoms—not just manage them. Every person is different, so every treatment plan should be too. I combine evidence-based medicine with thoughtful, individualized integrative approaches to meet you where you are and help you move toward lasting health.
My style is a unique blend of allopathic (Western), integrative, and functional medicine. As an experienced PCP, I know the evidence. As someone with experience in integrative and functional medicine, I am open minded, curious, and willing to think outside the box with you.
I truly believe the body has an incredible capacity to heal when it's given the right support. There's nothing more rewarding to me than helping someone reconnect with their health, regain their energy, and start feeling like themselves again.
My clinical interests include metabolic health and insulin resistance, weight management, gut health, hormone balance, thyroid disorders, women's health, and mental wellness.
When I'm not seeing patients, you'll usually find me spending time with my husband, our son, and our two cats (named after two of my favorite New York Rangers players). I love being outdoors, traveling, whitewater kayaking, trying new restaurants, and wandering through quirky shops—especially thrift stores.
