Metabolic Reset
Your health today is shaping your health tomorrow.
Disease doesn't happen overnight. It develops over the course of years, and people often miss early signs that trouble is brewing. The good news is that being proactive now can change the course of your health.
Metabolic health is about so much more than weight or blood sugar. It influences your energy, sleep, mood, hormones, cardiovascular health, and long-term risk for conditions like diabetes and heart disease.
Metabolic Reset is a 3-month, personalized program designed to help you understand your unique metabolism and make meaningful, sustainable changes before problems become diagnoses.
Together, we’ll use comprehensive lab work, continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), and other metabolic markers to see how your body responds to food, movement, sleep, stress, and other lifestyle factors. Through personalized guidance, practical strategies, and ongoing support, you’ll learn what works for your body—and how to turn that knowledge into lasting habits.
This isn’t about following another restrictive diet or chasing a number on the scale. It’s about becoming curious about your body, experimenting with what works, and building a foundation for better health now and for years to come.
Build health before you need healthcare.

What is a Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM)? Isn't that only for diabetes?
A continuous glucose monitor (CGM) is a small wearable device that measures glucose levels throughout the day. For this program, we use Stelo, an over-the-counter CGM designed for people who do not use insulin.
The sensor is approximately the size of a quarter and is usually worn on the back of the upper arm. It is inserted just under the skin using a simple applicator (relatively painless) and provides continuous glucose measurements throughout the day.
Your CGM allows you to see your glucose patterns in real time and observe how your blood sugar responds to different foods, exercise, sleep, stress, and other lifestyle factors.
CGMs were originally developed primarily for people with diabetes, but they can also provide valuable insight into glucose patterns for people interested in understanding and optimizing their metabolic health.
How is a CGM helpful for my metabolism?
Your glucose levels provide one piece of the larger picture of metabolic health. A CGM allows us to see how your glucose responds to different foods, meals, exercise, sleep, stress, and other factors in your everyday life. Whenever you see a glucose spike, there is also typically an insulin spike. High insulin levels contribute to weight gain and continue the cycle of insulin resistance. Think of it as a way to "hack" your metabolism.
Instead of simply being told what you should eat, we can use your own data to ask questions and run personalized experiments:
What happens when I eat this? What happens if I add protein or fiber? Does a walk after dinner make a difference? How does poor sleep affect my glucose? How does fluctuating glucose impact my sleep?
These insights can help you identify patterns and make more informed, individualized choices. The goal isn't to obsess over every glucose reading, but to use the data as a tool for learning about your body.
Will I have to change my diet?
Probably—but not in the way you might think.
Metabolic Reset is not about putting you on a restrictive diet or giving you a list of foods you're "allowed" to eat. Instead, we'll look at your current eating patterns and identify opportunities to improve blood sugar regulation, nutrition, and metabolic health.
You'll learn practical strategies that can be incorporated into your existing lifestyle, and we'll use your CGM data and other health information to see what works best for you.
The goal is to create sustainable changes that you can actually live with, rather than a short-term diet.
Will you put me on a meal plan?
No. We don't believe there is one perfect meal plan that works for everyone.
Instead, Metabolic Reset focuses on personalized nutrition education and experimentation. We'll look at your current diet, preferences, lifestyle, goals, and metabolic data to identify changes that make sense for you.
You may receive specific recommendations, meal ideas, recipes, or strategies when appropriate—but the goal is to help you develop the knowledge and skills to make confident choices on your own.
Think less "follow this diet" and more "let's figure out what works for your body."
What if we don't see much on the CGM? Then what?
Honestly - this does happen sometimes. If the body is producing a lot of insulin to keep up with fluctuating blood sugars and is able to keep up, you may not see much happening to your blood sugar, even though high insulin levels could be contributing to inflammation and weight gain. If this is the case, the recommendations, tricks, and advice will be the same - we'll just need to lean on other markers to gage progress. Things like waist size, weight, and lab values like fasting insulin levels, fasting glucose levels and hemoglobin A1c.
